In the studio, as images are captured, renamed with customer's information for tracking, they can be quickly presented on a computer monitor for customer review. There is no need to remove and insert a card or download the images for customer preview and selection. Studio turnaround time is improved and the photographer need not be concerned with the flash card.

Not being tethered by cable to a computer, as is the case with IEEE-1394 (Firewire) workflows, the photographer can shoot difficult subjects or scenes (such as toddlers) - they have complete freedom of movement.
